Newcastle Heat Pump Ready shows how smart data speeds the right installs. With E.ON, Newcastle City Council, Northern Powergrid and Energy Systems Catapult, Heatio uses permission-based smart-meter data and our Home Energy Model to find suitable homes, estimate running costs and prioritise surveys. Led by E.ON Energy Solutions with Energy Systems Catapult, the Energy as a Service pilot used Heatio’s Home Energy Model, smart-meter data and device telemetry to simulate and monitor heat pumps, solar, batteries and EV charging. We tested whether monthly savings could cover service fees, verified post-install performance for lenders, and optimised to time-of-use tariffs and flexibility events.
